To follow up on our post last month on “What is a Day-Of Coordinator,”we’re going to define a full service coordinator and what you should expect when you look for and hire one!
A full service coordinator allows you to have the help of a professional throughout your wedding planning process, the flexibility to call for extra assistance or advice whenever needed, and the impact on your design, vendor team and planning process that only an experienced coordinator can provide.
Most coordinators provide budget creation and tracking, vendor research and procurement and a planning timeline in their full service coordination packages. Others might also include design help, customized items (such as a wedding planning binder), accommodations or other arrangements for guests, or invitation creation/RSVP tracking. All should include timeline planning and creation, handling of any and all details for your day, vendor referrals, and help and assistance throughout the process, in addition to the coordination of the wedding itself. Fees will vary depending on how many of these services are included, location, and of course the range of rates that is always evident among diverse vendors.
What we feel is most important to look for in a full-service coordinator is that their priority lies with their commitment to making your day exactly how you envision it, and not with their compensation for the effort that requires. Hopefully their fees accurately reflect how much time they believe their full-service work will require, so once you decide you want and need a wedding coordinator to be alongside you the entire process, their commitment and dedication equals yours. Any and all additional fees that might be required to make that happen should be apparent up front.
At Caitlin Arnold Wedding and Events, we do this by offering A La Carte services in addition to our “Put the Plan into Action” Package – our full service coordination package. The package includes everything you need to plan your wedding from start to finish, without any additional services that you’d be paying for but might not use. Anything extra like RSVP tracking, accommodations coordination etc is an a la carte item you can easily add on. Our full service clients get all the attention they need and desire to bring their wedding dreams to fruition, without us tracking our hours or waning in our commitment.
Let us “put your wedding day plan into action”– contact us for a complimentary initial consultation, let us take you out to coffee, hear about what you’re looking for and share with you more about how we can help. Perhaps you want something less than full service but still see the need for a coordinator? Check out all of our wedding coordination packages.
