Featured Vendor: Weir and Associates

Today’s blog is the start of a series we hope to continue, where we get the opportunity to feature one of our favorite vendors. A wonderful part of my job is getting to meet with a ton of great people every week, and interact with the vendors that make up this industry. It seems that I hear too often about bad experiences clients have had with their event/wedding vendors, and so it’s important to showcase those who do their job well and can ensure you will not have a bad experience!

I had the privilege of having lunch yesterday with Weir and Associates’ owner and office manager, Kevin and Samantha. Not only did it mean that I got to have some of their delicious food, but I was reminded of how enjoyable it is to work with friendly, personable individuals. I’ve blogged before about the importance of having vendors you enjoy being around, but I cannot emphasize this enough! Particularly with caterers – their servers will be interacting with your guests and their staff is feeding everyone! There’s not a whole lot more important to the experience of your guests than the food provided.

Weir and Associates serves wonderful hor d’oeuvres, entrees and desserts (some of which are homemade by the owner Kevin himself!), prepared with the highest quality and presented with elegance. They work with you to make sure you are happy with the menu, and are much more flexible than other caterers I have seen. All of their options are great – I’ve had many of them myself and can vouch for that!

More importantly to me as a coordinator, I love that Samantha will help order rentals – which can be a more complicated task than you would think! They ensure everything arrives, is set up properly, and care about the layout and presentation of your event, not just the quality of the food. And a huge relief is their serving staff! I have worked with caterers whose servers I would not be comfortable placing at a high-end function, or corporate event of any kind. However, with Kevin’s team, you get polite, professional and hard-working servers.

I encourage you to check them out at weircatering.com!
